No fitness club membership? Short on time? Intimidated by the gym? No problem! Although I have a workout space at home along with two different gym memberships, I too can find excuses not to workout. But I’ve come to realize that the more excuses I make, the further I get from achieving my fitness goals.
For days when I am short on time or simply don’t feel like being in the gym, I create my own workouts that require little to no equipment.
I’ve included a workout below that’s fast, effective and convenient. In just 10 minutes, you will burn fat, increase strength and improve your overall cardio. Remember: workouts are more productive when they are short and intense, with minimal rest — especially if you are trying to burn body fat.
This no-excuse, full-body work out can be done at work, at the gym, at home or on-the-go. Traveling? Try this in your hotel room.
1) Warm up: 45 seconds of skipping or jumping jacks
2) Push ups: 30 seconds
3) Rest: 10 seconds
4) Alternating lunges: 30 seconds
5) Rest for 10 seconds
6) Burpies: 30 seconds
7) Rest: 10 seconds
8) Tricep dips using a chair or bench: 30 seconds
9) Rest: 10 seconds
10) Mountain climbers: 30 seconds
11) Rest: 10 seconds
12) Wall squat: 30 seconds
13) Rest: 10 seconds
Repeat 2-3 times
